Programs Used: Procreate for iPad

This project's assignment was to create a character with reference materials and an accompanying background. The inspiration behind this piece is from Frank Sinatra's mugshot in 1938.  I didn't want Aiden to be in full color. It was more interesting to keep everything, but the jumpsuit, in a greyscale tone. Since Aiden has a rugged look to him, I  intentionally made his line art look rough. The challenge I faced with this project was the background. I utilized different brush textures to create a dark alleyway and to add depth and shadow to Aiden's character.
