B Creative Floral Preservation is a company that preserves wedding bouquets and funeral flowers into resin keepsakes such as bookends, ornaments, trays and many other selections. The owner commissioned me to reimagine her logo and spruce it up. Her original logo was just the letter "B" with a vine going around it, with no company name. She knew that she wanted a circular logo with the full name of the company and flowers included somehow in the logo. She gave me her inspiration; all I had to do was find a way to execute it.
Initial mockups and process
At first, I created some iterations of the logo with different fonts and styles. When the owner specified circular logo, I wanted to play with that idea. In some of the mockups, I put the "B" inside of the "C" in creative to show a different kind of circular form. A wreath of flowers was also an idea that came to mind. Eventually, we agreed upon doing the wreath of flowers around the company name so it's easier to manipulate the type and play around with how the wreath would look.
